About Jeffrey Schwartz, M.D.
As a Tampa Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Doctor at Innovative Gynecology & Obstetrics in Lakeland, FL, Jeffrey Schwartz, M.D. has extensive experience treating the hormonal imbalances that women undergo in perimenopause and menopause. He has over 30 years’ experience as a physician, and has implemented Bioidentical Hormone Replacement programs for over 15 years. Dr. Schwartz understands the concerns that women have regarding traditional forms of hormone replacement therapy, which uses synthetic hormones made from horse urine.
Dr. Schwartz is also keenly aware of the complexities of hormonal regulation and problems encountered by using drugs produced by major pharmaceutical companies. He realized early in his career that Bioidentical Hormones offered an unmatched safety profile and more flexibility in dosing and routes of administration than brand name synthetic drugs. This inspires him in his work today, to offer customized Bioidentical Hormone Replacement programs in Polk County where Innovative Gynecology & Obstetrics is located.
Jeffrey M. Schwartz, M.D. received his medical training at New York Medical College and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and a diplomate of the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. As an anti-aging physician, he routinely screens for and treats the triad of metabolic syndrome (hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes) that invariably is associated with hormonal dysregulation.
Dr. Schwartz also understands that wellness is dependent upon the delicate balance between multiple body hormone regulators, such as the thyroid gland and the adrenal gland. Ultimately, he believes in a holistic approach to healthcare that addresses not only physical wellbeing, but psychological, emotional, and sexual health as well. This is why Dr. Schwartz completed training at the Florida Postgraduate Sex Therapy Training Institute, where he became a certified sex therapist (CST) in Florida.
